This time I had a great chance to work on a mobile app concept with guys from AIC, one of  russian major digital agency, as well as from the kazakh leading bank Kaspi. It was my graduation project within the UX-design course by AIC/Skillbox.

Kaspi Bank is the leading retail bank in Kazakhstan. Besides, Kaspi provides a lot of services such as Kaspi.Shop, Kaspi.Bonus and so on. Kaspi.Travel is a new service that offers credits for air/rail tickets with online approval. I needed to design a convenient mobile app for it with the global goal in mind — to involve people to the whole Kaspi ecosystem.

Potential users of Kaspi.Travel are mostly 23–55 y. o. and live in Kazakhstan. Most of them already are Kaspi Bank clients and use Kaspi.Shop, which make them familiar with the brand and its principles. The important thing is that a significant number of visits would be from mobile devices.

In addition to the general audience analysis I also created 3 personas based on data provided by the client and observation of the client's group on Facebook.

The interface should be easy to understand and use by a wide audience. And of course it should provide all the necessary information, but its optimal density is a tricky question. Then, flexibility, which means a convenient serch, different ways to find your best price or another option, filters, sorting, complex routes and so on. And personalization is also important, it concerns using geolocation and autocomplete, search history, list of favourites, subscription and more.

Another interesting part for me was how the app behaves when searching for flights. Usually it takes some time and it's important to make sure users dont't get bored, annoyed or even think that the app froze. Among the best solutions were different uses of animation, infographics and showing fresh results instantly.

The main color is bold red as it is instantly recognizable color of Kaspi's products and services. Typography is also mostly based on Kaspi's brand guidelines. Other basic UI components are also described in UI kit.

All in all it was definetely a huge amount of work and a very short time. A great opportunity to practice every part of a project development from market and audience research to wireframing and to visual design.
