This time I was invited to design a display window for Flygbussarna at the Stockholm Central Station. I had to create the visual concept as well as the illustrations. Quite an unusual and super exciting task for me!

Flygbussarna provides an airport bus service between many airports and cities in Sweden.
My task here was to design their display window at the ticket and information point located in the middle of the Stockholm Central Station. The idea was to create something nice and inviting to replace the simple cardboard they've had before. The only requirement was to show a bus there.

I started by sketching several ideas. It was fun to come up with different installation concepts: we were able to use standing or hanging cardboards and different kinds of stickers. The next step was a presentation that contained sketches, descriptions, production explanations and some examples including tiny paper prototypes to explain the idea more clearly.

The final concept is a layered composition printed on 4 separate cardboards. The first layer is the sky, the second features a Stockholm skyline view, the next one is the lake with some boats, and the closest one has a bus and some foreground bushes on it. All the necessary information is printed on the cloud-shaped stickers and put on a glass.

Once the illustrations were finished, printed and cut, the most tricky part was to install everything at the display window. Together with Erika, we managed to put everything inside at the right angles and even decorated with the garland lights for a more festive look as it was Christmas time

I really enjoyed working on such a creative task and learned a lot for sure. It appeared there's a lot to consider when you make an installation: comparative dimensions of the elements, the lighting, different angles and points of view and so on. And it's really satisfying to have your creation shared in an analog way in a large size Would definitely love to do that again!
